Flash compatibility
« on: April 30, 2012, 07:15:52 pm »
Hi, I am considering purchasing 2D Toolkit.

Is the current stable version fully compatible with Unity 3.5.1 and Flash export?

I am working on a 2D project that requires iOS, Android and Flash export.

Thank you,

Silb

Hi Silb,

I can't say I test Flash as a primary target, but I know it works as I fixed a few issues which stopped it from working with 1.60. I have done a brief test with 1.70 beta, and the flash export does throw some errors on the tilemap stuff - I will look into this.

Cheers,

Hello 2d toolkit community,

Sorry for necroing this topic but it is the second hit when searching google for "2d toolkit flash export" so I guess it would be useful to update the status on flash.

So are there any news on flash support?

It works, and better than ever in Unity 4 since dynamic batching is now supported.

I have to add that Flash as a platform isn't tested quite as widely as the other "native" platforms. If you run into any issues, report them on the forums and I'll get em sorted out.
